With more than 40 years of experience in automotive retail, I have enjoyed a successful career as a dealer, consultant, trainer for the NADA University, and leading 20 Group moderator for both NCM and NADA. I cannot think of a better way to finish the last chapter in my book than as an advisor with Performance Brokerage Services to assist Paul Kechnie with managing the Midwest Region.

I attended the Air Force Academy, Columbia Basin College, and hold a business management degree from Washington State University where I played PAC 10 football as an outside linebacker before being signed by the New York Jets in 1983.

My automotive retail experience began in Akron, Ohio, as a sales consultant for a local automotive dealership. At different dealerships over the next 15 years, I worked as a sales manager and general manager.

In 1996, I purchased my first new car dealership and later added a second location. In 2004, I had the opportunity to sell my stores and started an automotive consulting company working in dealerships across the country for the next six years. I then worked with 20 Groups for many years, including the NCM Institute where I leveraged my certification in training and design learning from the Association for Talent Development, and NADA where I was a trainer at the NADA University.

I look forward to utilizing my unique perspective to help dealers’ dreams come true, either by successfully exiting the industry to begin the next chapters in their lives, or by acquiring another dealership and executing their expansion plans.
