After the successful sale, Tom and Lucy McTamney posted on their website, “We would like to take this opportunity to announce that Lucy and I have decided to retire! But don’t worry, we’re leaving Liberty in the very capable hands of Tommy Hannum, owner of 3 locations in Pennsylvania! This will be his first foray into New Jersey, so we hope you’ll give him a warm welcome.”
Tom Hannum III operates Hannum’s Harley-Davidson, a family owned Harley-Davidson dealership group established in 1955 with three stores in Chadds Ford, Sellersville and Media, Pennsylvania, and now their first in New Jersey. “Our eyes are always open to new opportunities and the passion for Harley-Davidson in this area is undeniable,” shared Tom Hannum III. Only 14 months ago, Hannum purchased the dealership in Sellersville, and was advised by George Chaconas and Performance Brokerage Services. Following the purchase, Tom Hannum stated, “Congratulations to Tom & Lucy McTamney on a well-deserved retirement after so many successful years at Liberty. Hannum’s is proud to accept this family dealership into our own.”
The dealership will continue to operate at its current location at 12 West Milton Avenue in Rahway, New Jersey 07065. The dealership will re-open for business on Friday, March 18 with grand opening events and festivities already planned for early summer.
