Performance Brokerage Services, North America’s highest volume dealership brokerage firm, is pleased to announce the sale of Gresham Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Oregon from Dorian Boyland and Dan Kaiser to Daniel Crainic and Time Auto Group.
Boyland Auto Group was founded in 1985 by former Major League Baseball player, Dorian Boyland. After retiring from the MLB in 1983, Boyland began his career in the automotive industry on the sales floor of a dealership in Portland, Oregon. In 1985, Boyland acquired his first dealership, Gresham Dodge.
Over the past 37 years, Boyland Auto Group has successfully owned and operated 22 dealerships in 6 states. The group’s flagship Mercedes-Benz dealership in Orlando, Florida earned Boyland the Mercedes-Benz “Best of the Best Dealer” Recognition Award in 2017 and 2018. With a passion for helping others and giving back to his community, Boyland is an active mentor in various youth programs and has invested millions of dollars over the years to help children and teens stay in school and on the right track.
Following the sale, Dorian Boyland, CEO, and President of Boyland Auto Group commented, “After more than 37 years, more than 20 dealerships, and numerous transactions, I have to admit that none of my opportunities would have been available without the assistance of Moshe Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services. For that, I am truly grateful and blessed to have had him and his company in my life. Every dealership that they presented to me, I bought, and none of these stores were on the market. My phone doesn’t ring from other dealers offering me an opportunity to purchase their stores. I have relied 100% on Moshe to grow as a dealer and as a person, after years of buying and increasing rooftops. Moshe convinced me that it was time to start downsizing before it was too late, and I thank him. He advised me to sell my first dealership, Gresham Dodge, and within a day he had a buyer that was qualified and excited about the purchase. We closed in 120 days with Moshe driving the deal all the way to closing. Boyland Auto Group would not be in existence without Mr. Stopnitzky.”
Over the last 5 years, Performance Brokerage Services has advised on the sale of over 300 dealerships, making it the highest volume dealership brokerage firm in North America. In 2021, the company consummated 72 transactions, marking a record-breaking year. This transaction was exclusively facilitated by Moshe Stopnitzky, President, and Jason Stopnitzky, Co-Founder, of Performance Brokerage Services. Moshe Stopnitzky commented, “It was a pleasure working on this transaction with two first-class businessmen, witnessing a generational passage. Mr. Boyland has been a client and a friend for three decades, and when it was time to sell the dealership after more than 35 years of ownership, we found an excellent buyer to carry on Boyland’s legacy in the Portland market. Best wishes to the buyer, Time Auto Group headed by Daniel Cranic, a progressive and forward-thinking individual, that undoubtedly will be welcomed by the community with his customer-centric approach.”
Time Auto Group was founded by Daniel Crainic in 2019. Crainic began his career as dealership owner in the Portland market with D&C Motor Company, a used vehicle dealership specializing in European luxury brands. Crainic quickly decided he wanted to become a new car dealer, and has since expanded to include 5 franchise dealerships in the state of Oregon, offering Mitsubishi, Volvo, Nissan, Honda, and Subaru brands. Crainic operates his business with a focus on leadership and team building, creating an amazing culture within his organization, combined with a customer focused philosophy.
Daniel Crainic, CEO and Founder of Time Auto Group, shared, “It has been my privilege to work with Moshe and Jason Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services. They are totally committed team players with tons of insight and incredible skills. When the going gets tough, they get going. I thank them so much for the experience, and am looking forward to the next one”
The dealership will remain at its current location at 855 NE Burnside in Gresham, Oregon.
